Rachel was born and raised in Seattle, WA, took her first trip to China in 1979 and has been traveling ever since. She has lived abroad in four different countries – Germany, Spain, Taiwan and most recently 13 years in China.
Starting a family overseas led to a whole new skill set: the art of international travel with children. China was the perfect base from which to explore other far-flung destinations with her kids including Mongolia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Korea and the Philippines.
She has been working in travel in various capacities since graduating from college. Much of that time was spent working and traveling the world for TCS Expeditions, a tour operator specializing in private jet travel. Her experience working for TCS came together with her personal travel experiences and she started her own business planning extraordinary travel in 2007.
In 2011 she moved to Austin, Texas and became a Travel Advisor in 2013. She channels her experience and passion for travel into designing itineraries that will bring the world to life for her clients.

Travel is about education, about pushing yourself out of your comfort zone to learn more about the world around you. Travel gives us perspective and inspires appreciation. Most importantly, it helps us understand that the human experience is more similar than it is different.
